Alexis & Rafe | Kyle, Tx | Preview

I’m so excited to start working on Alexis and Rafe’s wedding. The couple found me through Offbeat Bride, and the moment they told me they were having an intimate wedding in the country, I was sold. I can’t wait to show the full post, but I hope you enjoy the preview. Congrats, Alexis and Rafe!

* Don’t worry, the girls were only drinking pomegranate juice. They look quite refined doing so.

Madeline & Jason’s Engagement | Austin, Tx

First off, Madeline found me through APW, and I couldn’t be happier to work with the wonderful couple. It was a joy to get to know Madeline and Jason a bit better while snapping shots of them at a few of their favorite spots in Austin (The “Hi How Are You? mural on the Drag and a nice shaded park where they had their first picnic together). I can not wait to shoot their wedding later this year. Congrats, guys!

Oregon

Last month I made a trip to Oregon to visit a good friend of mine and to sneak in a little vacation time before the fall wedding season began. I’d never visited the northwest before, so I was eager to check out a bit of nature during my stay. After a day of hiking near Marys Peak, we drove down to the beach to hang out and eat dinner. I believe I caught Oregon during a very good time of year. The weather didn’t get above the low 90s during the day, and the night air was amazing. Here are the photos I took with my film camera. Enjoy!

The Zoltars | Live

I was fortunate enough to be asked by my good friend Jared to photograph The Zoltars’ live performance at Spiderhouse the other night. Jared is the band’s lead singer and guitarist. We met last summer working at a Jewish summer camp in town, and needless to say, we hit it off. It also makes me extremely happy to watch The Zoltars get more and more recognition in the Austin music scene. If you haven’t heard them yet, you should definitely check out their website. The band will be featured on Daytrotter soon so look out for that too. Here are some of my favorite shots from that night. Enjoy!

Hard At Work

This is me hard at work during the last wedding Mike and I shot together (Photo taken by Mike Andrick). I definitely made use of the disposable cameras left on the tables by the guests during the reception. I guess I’ll never know how they turned out. Wedding photos coming soon, y’all!
